Experience
I majored in government and French while living in Paris. While studying abroad in Paris, I placed at intermediate advanced on my ACTFL oral exam. I also took courses that were very focused on presenting and writing. Because of these experiences, I believe I am a fit and knowledgeable tutor. I have tutored a variety of courses. For example, I have worked with students who were trying to learn basic pronunciation and grammar. I also have worked with students who had higher skill level. I've spent time working with students who were second graders all the way to students who were graduates in college. As for my teaching approach, I am patient, passionate, and very flexible. I believe that students who come to me actually want to learn new material. However, for some, it may be confusing or difficult for them to learn. This is where I come in. I try to come up with new and fun ways to teach material that will not only gain the student's attention but will also help them in retaining the information I am teaching. I am committed to helping my students succeed. I hope to pass on that positive attitude to each and every person I work with.
