Experience
I am currently working as a substitute teacher in Port Washington School District. I have been teaching as a substitute teaching and leave replacement teacher for the past four years. I have held leave replacement positions in Port Washington School District and Island Trees School District. I am NY certified in early childhood education, students with disabilities b-2, elementary education grades 1-6 and student with disabilities 1-6. I have taught NYS test prep after school for grade 3 in both ELA and math. All lessons were self created and met the Common Core standards. I would like to be a tutor because helping children to succeed in school has always been my passion. I love being able to see a child reach their goals after working hard to achieve them. Many children and parents are overwhelmed and confused by all the new common core homework that is coming home from school. As someone that is actively working in the schools and very familiar with the common core I am also willing to provide homework assistance.

Hobbies
I love snuggling up in bed with a good book. I also enjoy horses and love spending time at the barn and riding.
